PLA known as Poly-lactic acid is a synthetic polymer made from fermented sugars extracted primarily from food crops such as corn, beets or sugarcane.PLA products which are endorsed by the European commision with the EN13432 mark is certified to commercially compost within 90 days.Additionally, the end product of composting not only returns to its previous state but also generates and adds beneficial micro organisms to soil called humus.
